The regional minimum wage rate for laborers doing the most basic work in normal working conditions for foreign invested enterprises, foreign and international organizations and individuals in Vietnam is VND 920,000 per month. The maximum one is VND 1,200,000 per month.
The minimum wage rates will be applied as the basis for calculating wage scales, wage tables and all types of allowances, for calculating wage rates recorded in labor contracts, and for implementing other regimes formulated and issued by enterprises in their authority in accordance with the labor law. Based on this minimum wage rate, enterprises adjust the wages for laborers in labor contracts and are encouraged to apply the minimum wage rate higher than the above mentioned one. Wages rates applicable for enterprises operating in different areas are regulated in Annexes enclosed with the Decree.
